Just as they predicted Aloe was chosen as a tribute for District 12 but so is her old brother River. This time only one will be a champion, the question is who?

Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Frank, Hazel, Leo, Thalia, and Nico are sent to the future of Panem, taking a part in the 74th annual Hunger Games. Why are they there?
