I felt the push of the first impact, from just mentally reaching out to it fifty feet away, knock me a few steps back as I mentally latched onto the hood, pushing on it with metal telekinesis, my jaw clenched from effort. But the semi was barely slowing down. I backed up slowly as it came closer, the force of it slowly pushing me back, my feet digging into the concrete road. Time slowly started to speed up back to normal as I lost concentration. Behind me, two cars, stunned by the sight of the semi, came flying towards each other, and towards the school bus; the counterproductive response of the drivers was making my job all the harder.
