Emery Ashford had a smart mouth. She was known for it. As an outgoing teenager Emery was always hanging out with friends and with a lack of filter she always said what was on her mind. Especially if it had to do with that irritative jock. She hated him with every fiber in her body. She hated his charming nature, his arrogance, his lack of care, and the way he got on her nerves. But the thing she hated most, although she'd never admit it, is that she would stick up for him. Not like he ever needed it. She wanted nothing more than to get away from him. But it's completely impossible. He lived right across the street. Everything about senior year had been going smoothly until, Bang. Jackson Riley had a pretty mouth. Pretty face too. As the school's football captain he's always been the talk. For years he's been entertained by the smartass that is Emery Ashford. She was a pain in his ass, but he knew he'd be bored without her. When he ends up giving Emery another concussion, he's determined to make the last two months of her senior year hell. That's if he hasn't been doing that already. There's only one thing in his way. Concussion or not Emery isn't going down without a fight. It seems the more she doesn't want him around, the more he happens to be. She thinks her life is spiraling into the ground...but maybe she has it all wrong. With an offer she can't refuse and a heat of the moment bet, it's time for the both of them to realize that there's a thin line between love and hate. And with an injury like this, that line is surely to blur. #1 in annoying [12/30/22] #1 in brothersbestfriend [1/6/23] #1 in hate [1/15/23] #1 in teens [1/28/23] #1 in tension [3/18/23] #1 in summer [5/8/23] #1 in player [5/13/23] Started [Oct 2022] Finished [May 2023]

"You're atheist," I remind him. "You don't believe in god." "I believe in you," He murmurs, letting the cigarette hang from his lips. "I believe in whatever you believe." He says, letting the confession roll off his tongue as if it were that simple. As if god, the devil, heaven, hell-as if none of it really had meaning to him. "That's not how it works," I mutter as we walk down a few more alleyways-the city of Manhattan coated in a light blanket of snow. Henry Vitiello had never had anything to pray for, that is, until he met me-the only thing that had ever opened his mind up to the possibility of religion "Isn't it?" He argues, taking the cigarette by his middle and pointer finger before blowing the smoke out. "I'II dip my hands in holy water if it means I could touch you." "You'd probably burn." 𓆩♡𓆪 𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐘 𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐎, the reaper. He's a prick. An asshole. A pretentious son of a bitch. He's not perfect. He's not even decent. But he's hers. Falling in love never scared Maddie Davis until she fell for the one boy she swore to stay away from forever. Season 1 of My Brother's Best Friend ********* Maddie Davis has been in love with her brother's best friend, Cameron Holden, since she was in the sixth grade. They used to be best friends, too, until he got into high school and became a version of himself she didn't even recognize. Everyone said he was a shoo-in for the NFL, and he let it get to his head. Right before high school started, he worked out until he was built like a sculpture, he got rid of his braces, and suddenly the girls fell at his feet. But that was fine because her middle school crush faded. And besides, even if she did think he was hot, Cameron wasn't someone she could go for even if she wanted to. Unless, of course, she found herself wound up with him in a closet during a game of blind seven minutes -- a closet so tiny and secretive that she would finally be able to act on the feelings she's tried so desperately to hide. But what were the odds of that happening? This is book ONE of three: My Brother's Best Friend In Five Years The Perfect Timing Content warning: This story contains mature sexual content and themes of bullying, sexual assault, violence, and explicit language. Can a natural killer learn to be human again? Regan's unique talent for murder makes her a perfect assassin. After a lethal encounter leaves her broken body washed up on a beach, she finds herself adopted by a group of teenage bodyguards. She doesn't intend to stay for long, but soon Regan finds herself faced with a choice: become a hero or stay a villain? *** The boy played with the flat brim of the cap in his hands and looked around the room. He sat back in his chair, trying to look casual, but the heel of his hi-top sneaker drummed rapidly on the concrete floor. Regan sat opposite him with her legs crossed and her hands folded on her tartan skirt. She watched him without a word and brushed a strand of blue-dyed hair behind her ear. Somehow this seemed to unsettle him more. 'Calm down,' she said. 'It's just murder.' *** Author's Note: Darkness Girl: Trickster God is represented by Louise Fury from The Bent Agency. P.S. The epic cover was made by Paul Kopetko (you can stalk him at paulkopetko.com). Enjoy!
