She lives with her Mother in a small house. Her dad died from cancer four years ago. That's why she's depressed and lonely. Lapis Lazuli is a 17 years old depressed girl. Her parents were abusive and she lives alone. She has a few friends but needs time with new people because of her toxic relationship with Jasper Agres. Surprisly, she gets well with Peridot. She changed schools because her old school closed. Her Friends were in gem stone high. So she decided to join them. She didn't knew that Jasper was there too.

Peridot is horribly depressed and stressed out after the loss of her ship, her escort, her informant, and now her foot. With nowhere to go, Peridot is about to give up. Broken, Peridot gives herself to the Crystal Gems, waiting for her annihilation. Instead, Steven gives her an out. All she has to do to prove herself is help rescue an old, underwater friend of Steven's. Lapis Lazuli and Peridot Greene did not have what you would call a "friendship."
