Oliver Steinfeld promised himself he wouldn't fall in love with her. But it was 4 am, and they were laughing so hard, whispering the most juvenile confessions as they lie next to each other. He felt really alive for the first time in a very long time, and for that, he already knew, there's no more reason denying it-he was screwed.

“I’m a hopeless romantic. Not a prostitute!” You’d think that for a guy who could make the entire female population of our high school drop their pants at the snap of his finger, Adam Flynn would have some sort of charm. Instead, he is the opposite of charming. He’s revolting; he’s mean; and his only saving point in this world is the fact that he’s the American reincarnation of Adonis. Maybe I should’ve kept my mouth shut. That way, he never would’ve realized his eye-sex doesn’t work on everyone. That way, I wouldn’t be stuck giving him lessons on how to be more romantic. That way, I would be free to find a real guy I actually had a chance at a relationship with. Karma sucks balls, and so does he. [ current cover by hunnaycakes ]

"What's this?" He asked, as she placed the intricate paper ball of roses in his hand. She notice his hand didn't tighten, and was left palm open as he held the ball up towards his face, like he could see it, even though she knew he couldn't. "It's for you, I don't have a name for it though" she replied. " I hope you like it." A frown made its way onto his face, as he still held the delicate piece of paper. "I wouldn't know, I can't see it." A bit of anger in his tone. "Of course you can't see it but, you can feel it." She got a hold of his free hand and gently trace his finger tips around each slope and curve of one of the roses she had created and folded in together. His face contorted even more into a frown, but she could see that he was trying to focus, trying to visualize the ball and the rose. "See," she said proudly as she let go of his hand. "You don't need your eyes to appreciate beauty." ------ Short Story #64 Teen Fiction #274
