Leaving behind your past, you reach an interesting island that you are able to happily settle down in. You have sworn never to fall in love because it's only a burden, yet you find yourself in situations that make you go back on your word. But all of this comes at a cost, you are more exposed and you are soon found by someone you hoped never to meet again... "But I can promise they won't be if you experiment on the Princess of that planet" "What happens on the day when she doesn't want to help people anymore?" Scudder questioned, "When she decides to shapeshift into a secret service officer and kill the president? Or imitate a general and order a nuclear missile strike? This woman is a danger to global security. It would be safer to have her in our sights." Steve clenched his fist in anger. That was the one thing (Y/n) always feared about being on Earth. That they would take her, and they would experiment on her because she could shapeshift, because she was alien, and was different. "You won't arrest us, or put (Y/n) in a science lab," Nat said surely, "Because at the end of the day, you need us. We may have taken down SHIELD, but we are the most qualified to save the world. And (Y/n) may be the biggest danger, but that also means she's the biggest danger to the people like HYDRA." "If you want to arrest us, arrest us," Steve added, "You'll know where to find us."

(Y/n) is alive and well, but, no one knows. Not only does no one know but those close to her are gearing up to fight her and the cause she was brainwashed into supporting. As she fights for the wrong side, and as (Y/n) gets flash backs to times with a mysterious stranger she felt her world, her mind, unravel. As Peter realizes that (Y/n) is alive he makes it his mission to bring her back to who she was. But, with the heroes that are left focused on bringing back half of the universe more than bringing back the young hero, Peter finds that he is nearly alone in his quest. Even if he is be able to bring her back, what life, what missions, will they have together after? What aftermath will they have to survive if the Avengers succeeded? What other battles will they have to fight to keep those they love safe? (Sequel to Mutant and Proud)
