Her parents died when she was thirteen and she had no idea what to do with herself. Having to flip her life over, she moved to a different city, started in a new school and never really got new friends. Only knew problems as time passed. Misjudging her strength, she had given in to the dark thoughts in the back of her head and let them overtake her. Feeling a cold blade run across her skin and red droplets of blood seeping out had brought her calm in the storm. Giving up the life at her aunts, Astrid Hofferson moved back to her childhood home and started school. Once again, new life, new actual friends but still the same problems. She hid them very well, if she had to say it herself. That is...until one Henry Haddock came along. Ironically, he was her physics teacher. Letting him find out had been hard. Letting him help her was even more so. Would she really be able to let him in? And if she did, would he be able to pull her away from her bad thoughts and help her be happy? She had no idea.
