But thanks to Jovu being bonded to her, when within her, he can share his body with hers. Granting her black scaled dragon legs that morph to take on the shape of regular human legs. But on Libelle's 18th birthday, the peace between dragon and humans is broken. Now Libelle must go into hiding so as to not be killed. While also figuring out why the humans would suddenly attack after five hundred years of peace and how to find the queen of the dragons. She happens upon Nevermore in a wounded state and meets Wednesday Addams who is exciting to finally have something to do after the so far boring school year. Wednesday agreed to help her, but neither expected the strange new feelings that would accompany them. But can they solve the mystery and save Libelle's family before they're wiped out?
