The year is 1947 and Amerika is still riding high after the second great war, but in the soot-stained alleys of Crescent City, victory's just a word. In this smoke-choked metropolis, something darker is stirring. When ex-soldier Delaney Blackwood-part-time drunk-full-time gumshoe, takes a job from a dubious dame, he figures it's nothing more than a payday and a hangover cure. What he finds instead could crack the sky wide open. The job? Track down a lost book. The catch? Everyone who touches it ends up dead... or worse. Because this book isn't just rare-it's dangerous. And if it falls into the wrong hands, the next war won't be between nations. It'll be between realms. Blackwood has glimpsed what hides in shadow, dreamt with madmen and mystics, and lived through what has shattered greater minds. Now, for the first time since his disappearance, the world is invited into his casefiles. AUTHOR'S NOTE: At this point, the full story is yet unpublished, and I'm currently looking to bring it to a wider audience. Please feel free to leave a comment, vote, or introduce yourself. I would love to hear from you!
