This takes place in X-Men Evolution universe. It's graduation day for Kurt and Kitty and Rogue is playing the proud sister, seeing her sweet little brother getting his diploma, but someone is watching, lurking in the shadows, wanting revenge of the pair for some mysterious reason. After the ceremony there is a big celebration at the mansion and everyone is in a party mood. Gambit had joined the X-Men a few months before and he and Rogue have been working on having a relationship. Even though they still have hurtles to cross because or her powers and his past to deal with their relationship is getting strong. Kurt also has a girlfriend in Tabitha Smith. She has moved back to the mansion after a stint on her own and will be graduating the next year. She and Kurt have been getting close and he even invited her to the prom. Things are going well for the young X-Men, but the ball is about to drop. Rogue finds herself being stalked as well as Kurt. Some mystery person is calling and leaving threatening messages on their phones and even leaving horrible gifts, even a box with a dead rat in it with message consisting of two words: your next. Even their once estranged mother is worried about who it could be that is terrorizing her two children. Logon confronts her about it and he knows that she knows more than she's telling but will not say a word. The mansion is on alert once the stalking reaching a new level. Both rogue and Kurt find dolls with their likeness hanging by a noose in their rooms. Kurt is freaked out as is Rogue, and their significant other want steps to assure whoever is doing this will be caught, and also that Kurt and Rogue will be protected.

First, I want to say that I've been sitting on this idea for a while. Yes, this is an X-Men story centering around Gambit and Rogue, but since it is a no powers story they will be referred to as Remy LeBeau and Anna Marie Darkholme. This is rated M for mature for violence, sexual situations and adult themes. Okay on with the tale.

She and Remy have been officially dating for six months. Upon returning from their last mission Rogue seems a little burned out on this whole superhero thing. Remy suggests that they could use a vacation and talks her into spending the weekend with him in Vegas. So are story begins. Extra note: This story was inspired by the Movie Vivacious Lady, which was made in 1937 starring Jimmy Steward and Ginger Rogers. Although not an exact parody the movie gave me the idea for the story.

I'm finally posting some X-Men fan fiction here, which I love to write. This is a "What If..." story. What if Rogue never joined the X-Men? And what is she met Gambit soon after her powers manifested? This is a long story and about 40 chapters, so updates will be regular. Note: keep in mind that I do write in accents as many of the character are southern.
