Betty and Toni were twins who had been separated at birth. Betty lived with their dad in California while Toni and their mom kept living in Riverdale. The two girls knew nothing about each others existence until Betty's dad died. Their mom was contacted and even while Betty was heartbroken, she was finally able to meet her mom (and sister). A soft Bughead story. Betty has always been unwanted by her father, Hal. Jughead's dad, FP, has always treated her like his own daughter. Betty and Jughead were always friends when they were little, but they haven't talked since he was 10 and forced to move to Toledo with his mom after the divorce. They are being reunited as Jughead turns 18 and has the rights to choose to go and live with his dad, finally. And he knows about Betty's situation, FP has told him a lot about it.

On their 15th summer, Betty and Jughead decide to take the 'best friend' status to another level. The two fall in love and Betty is forced to move to the other end of the country a couple of months later. They both develope mental sickness and only see each other once a year or so, both of them suffering and missing one another.

When Archie picks Veronica over Betty on her BIRTHDAY, and she was depressed , guess who came to her aid? When Betty realizes Jughead has been in love with her since they were kids, she finds that she needs to make a decision: the boy she's slaved over and never been appreciated, or the one who could actually make her happy, who will she choose?
