When a stranger moves in to Moominvalley, Snufkin and Moomin can't help but see who it is and introduce them to all their friends. The stranger turns out to be Lumini, a sweet girl from a small city, and quickly becomes a permanent member of the friend group. Join Moomin and co on their shenanigans with their new found friend.

Worried about her dear friend, Lumini goes to check up on Snufkin. She finds him with a gaggle of small children he claims to have 'rescued from unfair rules'. She is elated to see him caring for them and offers to step in as a motherly figure for them, and it is accepted.
