In the bad ending of the Octo Expansion, Inkopolis and everyone in it is destroyed, with Cap'n Cuttlefish, Agent 8, Agent 3, and Off the Hook left to pick up the pieces. Struggling among themselves and their inner demons, the New Squidbeak Splatoon must assemble again to face off against new world leader Commander Tartar and uncover more dark secrets of the Kamabo Corporation.

Let's take our current world, put it into the perspective of a rather peculiar sixteen year old boy, and add in the events that canonically took place in Splatoon. Somehow surviving, after an impossible amount of time and in an unlikely manner, he now finds himself living with an unfamiliar species' that now dominates the Earth, having almost no recollection of his life before. With the help of a few of the inhabitants there, he will have to overcome the challenges he now and will face, and do everything he can to familiarize with a world that has changed completely, for better or for worse... Mage, an orange hair and eye coloured inkling, a bit older than others, at the age of 16, plays the role of a lone wolf sniper who is quite intelligent at times. Silver, has Black hair with also black eyes, who is Mage's Best Friend is all about the roller life, he isnt the best but he sure is funny. Squidy, pink haired and blue eyed inkling with an unknown gender, a 10 year old who somehow got into Inkopolis under the age limit (14), doesn't stick to a particular weapon, but can be quite a pain in the bottom. Eliza, a light blue haired and eye coloured inkling, Slosher main who is quite higher rank than Mage, and sometimes teases him about how awseome she is.
