The world is not as it seems. Humanity believes itself to be the dominant species on Earth, but they know nothing. They do not know the truth, and they would never believe even it if they were told. A loathsome evil watches from the fringes, its malevolent eyes set solely on Earth. It desires the total destruction of humanity; and to achieve that it will darken the skies and scorch the planet until nothing remained. Yet, a small band of warriors waits and watches; gifted beyond anything a mortal could hope to achieve. These men and women, blessed with eternal youth and physical prowess, were meant to protect humanity. But the darkness already seeps into the world, contaminating and corrupting everything it touches; including humanity's protectors. But one man holds the key to stopping this coming apocalypse; a young university student by the name of James Morrison. Yet that secret had secrets of its own, and as the world collapses around him, James Morrison finds that not even he holds all the answers.

An ancient alien relic is found by an asteroid mining crew, which turns out to be much more than just a strange black opaque cube. Logan, brother to one of the miners, is whisked away along with several other specialists to work on a secret project. Under the watchful eyes of their personal Security Special Forces agents, Logan and colleagues begin to become suspicious behind the motives of the Jackson-Stone Corp. Jackson-Stone Corp. is the largest company in the world. With two space elevators, the company monopolized space trade, mining, zero-G tech development and many other facets of the worlds economy. The company even controlled the government of New Congo. When the power of the cube is harnessed, will it be used for good or will greed turn humanity down a dangerous path? This is a working rough draft of my first novel, i would appreciate any feedback that anyone is willing to give. I have not yet finished the novel, so some parts will be more polished than others. Olivia Patterson has had one too many doses of the Sixth Sense and owes a massive debt to a shadowy rebel and loan shark called Death-Throe. Being the daughter of the City's dictator, she knows too well that the gallows awaits any who associates with the rebel. In an attempt to free herself, she acquires an asset in the form of Runner and finds herself always at the edge, for if he survives it means freedom for both, but if he dies...
