Eventually, a struggling rock band called the Time Travelers adopts him so he can perform in their show. Their rivals, the Corrupt Cops, steal their band equipment and the Professor's time machine, so the Time Travelers team up with other victimized bands to break into the Corrupt Cops' fortress and take back their possessions. If they succeed, they can compete in the American Rock Star contest for the honor of performing in the World Heritage Festival with cultural representatives from America's dictatorial allies. But Cold Steel is allied with the Corrupt Cops, so victory is impossible unless they find a way to put rather senile Hammer back in power.
