Not unless they had a death wish. Gerard would beat up anyone that so much as looked at him funny. Bonnie was the new kid. She didn't know the rules when it came to this dangerous punk. Bonnie is a carefree girl with autism. Gerard knows that Bonnie will get crushed if she doesn't have somebody to protect her.
