Paulette's life is in shambles. Her sister is dead, her mother is a drunk, and she's been forced to transfer into a chaotic public school full of bullies. She reunites with her childhood bestfriend Adam, even though he's part of the crowd that used to terrorize her at school, and they end up developing feelings for each other.
