I am not a spoiler, so I will not be telling you anything about this story. You will just have to find out yourself. This is a How to train your dragon fanfic. That is all I am saying. I do not own any How To Train Your Dragon characters.

It's the story of a young Viking. Actually, he isn't that young anymore. He's 23 years old now. His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. 8 years ago, he had to run away from his beloved home Berk because he became best friends with a creature that no Viking should ever become friends with: a dragon. Follow the brave Viking on a journey filled with joy, pain and even love, as he comes back to Berk... quite unexpectedly. 20/07/18: Changed the dialogue format and corrected a few grammatical errors. Or maybe, he was forced to make that decision.

Same as any other. A fifteen year old Hiccup runs away, well, rather he flies, from Berk. Because He couldn't kill the Monstrous Nightmare in front of the Village, and he saw no other option. But he will return to Berk unexpectedly.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, the son of the chief of Berk Stoick the vast. He was considered the runt, weakling.... failure of the village. But when the village finds out that Hiccup had befriended a dragon... a beast... they took matters into their own hands and gave him a punishment, one that they all would regret when it was uplifted but one that changed him for the best.

Hiccup was five years old when he was snatched up by a Night Fury in a raid and was never seen again. 15 years later, Berk is on another hunt for the nest, but things go wrong when a storm hits and the Chief, his wife and Gobber are stranded in an icy wasteland. While searching for shelter they're ambushed by dragons and taken to a mysterious place where they find someone who they never thought they'd see again.

Hiccup Haddock the third is...to put it bluntly, a useless. While everyone else is out helping in the raids, he's stuck in the forge because he "will cause the least problems" there. He is the runt of the pack, the Fishbone, and the heir to Berk. His father could never be more disappointed in him. The only hope for poor Hiccup, is to kill a dragon. but how? he's so small and they're so big! Well guess what? He shoots down a Night Fury! Yep, he succeeds! He shot down the most feared dragon in History! His inventions aren't all bad! But, what happens when he finally finds the beast and goes to kill it. What happens when he looks into the dragons eyes? What happens when he sees a soul that reflects his own, that looks as frightened as he is? What happens when he cuts the dragon free? what happens when he wins dragon training and has to kill the Nightmare. the answer is, he runs. he runs as far as he can. never to return. - Just to be clear, I do not own the How To Train Your Dragon franchise. When Hiccup is taken from Berk, he discovers that he has a strange connection with dragons. Fleeing from this revelation, Hiccup tries even harder to be a normal Viking. Back on Berk, Hiccup accidentally shoots down a Night Fury. Hookfang, angry and still trying to convince Hiccup to give up the foolish viking ways, chases him across Berk. The chase ends with Hookfang being caged and Hiccup running into the woods to find the Night Fury he shot down from the sky. His bond with Toothless grows rapidly and soon they are basically inseparable. Unfortunately, events take a turn for the worst when someone informs the Chief of Hiccup's treachery. Stoick immediately declares Hiccup's punishment: EXHILE! DISCLAIMER: I do not own Hiccup, Toothless or any of the other characters unless specifically stated.
