That is, until a certain McSchizzle Man and his girlfriend come to see Max, the Flaming Boy's little brother. As time passes, the teenage couple realize that everyone at camp are demigods, and this is the place where David, a red furred satyr, and Gwen, an adult daughter of Aphrodite, are on a quest. They are trying to test a new device that attracts demigods, and it seems to be working. What happens when a certain cultist monster attacks camp? On New-Year's day, Max is attacked and left blind. He thought life with his parents was shit before, but now, when he's forced to depend on those around him, he realizes that there's no-one who'll help him except himself. He must learn to be independent, to function on his own and finds that relying on himself comes naturally. Still,he's only a child, and without anyone to trust he's left fearful and angry at the world around him. But then he sees the only light he'll ever see again. He has one opportunity to get away from it all, from his damnable parents and the life they inflict on him. That damned camp he cursed so much, and it's most loyal councilor, are his only hope. The question is, will he be able to get there, or will life kill him first?

But when he got back home from camp, he was pissed. His parents didn't pick him up until one in the morning, and they obviously didn't care. So Max stared the flood. He yelled at his parents for neglecting they're only son, and his parents were pissed. Max started the flood. His parents started to abuse Max more then usual, the they forced him to do all the chores, and they rarely fed him. So he ran away.
