Better Wear Your Flak Jacket Gunfire echoes within the walls of a Middle East police compound. Screams of terror are brutally silenced. Police captain Hashim Sharif captures one survivor. Soon Eliza MacKay will wish she had died with her companions. The vile act of terrorism is covered-up. Sharif becomes the reluctant keeper of his city's bloody secret - and the witness, MacKay. His corrupt superiors have a gun rammed against his skull. Disloyalty to the mayor will be rewarded with being buried alive. Whatever the cost, his government's honor must be restored. Secretly, Sharif hunts forensic evidence. Who is responsible for the murder of fifteen American volunteers? And, why did MacKay lie about her identity? He can't trust her. Her mental illness is going to get both of them killed. When he receives orders to dispose of MacKay, his Muslim faith is tested. Murder an innocent in cold blood? He will suffer Allah's eternal wrath. CIA Agent Hutchinson has the lying Sharif in his cross hairs. Sharif dodges the agent's traps almost as easily as the hit man on his tail. When Sharif discovers the shocking truth, he loses all hope of survival. What is worth dying for? Perhaps it's not bringing a madman to justice. Could it be saving the life of a woman who kick-started his numb heart? On the knife edge of risk, Sharif plots an act most forbidden and fatal.

When trust fund brat Siobhan McIver gets kicked out of her family, handsome Alexander Cosetino is there to help her move forward with her life. But why's he pressuring her to get married? She's only 19. That's way too young to get married. BUT the ring is big and Alex is rich, rich, rich... it's like a fairy tale. Maybe. Except that she has no money, no job, no skills. Alex is in control of everything... and Siobhan's not so good at doing what she's told. Plus, there's a good looking, but snarky, FBI agent who's always telling her that Alex is a Mob Boss and not a Wall Street lawyer. Then there's this high ranking Russian mobster she accidentally on purpose she narked on and who's looking for revenge... lately, it seems like everything's up in the air. Maybe she should be, too. Sometimes the only way out is up. This is the first edition of FlyGirl. Uncut, unedited, and unproofed.

She's more lethal than she seems. An intoxicating beauty that entrances her seducers with the sweetest soprano's note, so sweet like honey. Honey that traps its prey. Though she's no angel she wishes for love a love too far away too far from reach . . . ~My poetry starts off angelic and sweet, but then turns bitter and dark.~ Side note: the darker poems are better 🖤 __________________________ {Highest Rankings: } #76 in poems 2018-12-7 #5 in sirens 2018-31-7 #33 in sea 2018-3-9 #1 in thesiren 2020-15-11 #1 in oceans 2021-21-5 #17 in sadpoems 2021-21-5 #39 in poetry 2021-21-5 Author: @Midnight_Phantom18 ©copyright 2020 Cover art by: @cool_reader_ ____________________________ What readers are saying: @taya_0 - im literally getting butterflies, your writing is that amazing !!! @August_Parker - I'm having difficulty in choosing which one is my favourite in this book CAUSE ALL THE POEMS ARE AWESOME @Szanuka - I have read it all so fast with such feelings... Thank you for these words, for this adventure in a deep blue ocean of your beautiful thoughts <3! @Silent_Screams00 - Like a beautiful liar...an enchantres of the land of the living set to destroy what good we are left with...i love it...a lot @cool_reader_ - I love the way how you write your poems. They are based on a theme and you follow it perfectly. The use of literary devices in your poems never fails to astound me. Those metaphors, those repetitions, those whispers. I feel like your poems whisper and giggle in my ear, which is amazing because it is not very often that I like a poem.
