In this world, every person has a Kajinari. A Kajinari is a protector of their assigned human, and they aid the human in many ways. From helping on a test, they can and will save their human in a car accident. Despite Naruto being nearly shot, run over, and stabbed, his Kajinari hasn't come to his aid, ever. Then one night, something horrible happens to him emotionally. As he is sobbing in his bed, he hears a knock on his window.
