I looked around at the bloody corpses that were once my family, my shoulders trembling with the sobs passing through my body. Glancing around, I knew that I was utterly alone, again. Steeling myself, I decided that this is not going to be my life anymore. It's time I fought back. The smell of gun smoke burned my nose as they continued to fire at me, but I wasn't bothered. They always forget that I'm not like the others. I'm bulletproof.

Death is everywhere. Death is patient. Death is kind. Well, scratch the latter. It's common knowledge that when it's your time to ascend into that finality of death, you die. However, it seems as if this common principle is null for Jade Richardson.
