Keith Kogane has been bound to a string ever since he could remember. Behind it is told to be his past, darkness, depression, and any other negative feelings he holds. Before him is the future. The negative emotions begin to take over him more after his mother left and his father changed. Here comes the domino effect. No one can see the string but him. If he tries mentioning it to someone, they think he's gone insane. He often wonders what's on the other side of the string. What he finds isn't what he expected at all.

It's been years since the paladins have seen each other. The universe no longer needs Voltron and they've grown apart since then. When they decide to meet up again at the Garrison, they find that Keith had gone missing 3 years ago. Where did he go?

Lance misses home. Keith doesn't like seeing him like this. He would do anything to make sure Lance gets to see them again. When Pidge finds a way to access Lance's YouTube channel from space, Lance shoots a livestream to see if his family sees it. Keith still wants Lance to see them and decides to take him back to earth himself. However, Keith is still dissatisfied with his and Lance's relationship. When they go back to space, he begins to become depressed. He may have gotten what he wanted- for Lance to see his family- but he still doesn't know what it is he wants.
