His family of assassins have been at odds with the capital and they give him the type of assignment he's desperately wanted to prove himself since day one: Kill the emperor. Only one problem. The emperor has a new bodyguard, and he's someone Obito has known since childhood and desperately tried to forget his own feelings for.
