Most things, no matter the circumstances, can usually be expected to pass with the likelihood of a sudden storm. Be in and out of our paths given enough time. But every so often, time isn't enough. And so very rarely, nothing is enough. Aspen, a relatively young dragon, has found himself being constantly tantalized by a second-hand force that follows him at a whim of insanity. A mysterious corruption. A being that indirectly controls his thoughts and feelings through torture and spite. Aspen doesn't know the origin of the presence that has always strung over him, but a resentful past has grown this heinous being into power, and now an uncomfortable stalemate has risen between the mentality of this young dragon and the omnipotent shadow that follows him. Take to this tale of suspense and paranoia through the eyes of this burdened and broken dragon, in which he undergoes burning dilemmas, scarring anguish, and saddening revelation. Witness the misfortune of chance with the muffed scenarios this story may present through a new and inspiring world. Implore on being lost and clueless to thoughtless resentment and suffering. [ please don't read this. it's not terrible i guess but i keep it up for my ego and literally nothing else. please. ] claire definitely doesn't love teenage drama. who does? it's messy, and can get you in all sorts of complicated places. but somehow, she manages to get caught up into a whirlwind of drama every time, even if she doesn't want to, with her daredevil best friend bridget. she's a pretty good student, and her life is going fine. she doesn't really need a boyfriend or a crush, and she has good friends and good grades. you don't need much more than that in high school. but thats when bridget decides she wants to make moves on her crush, even if its anonymously. meaning, of course, she has to bring claire down with her too. and so when the popular best friend of bridget's crush asher comes up to her and accuses her of doing something she in fact did do, she is forced to tangle herself into the sticky web of teenage problems. which sucks, really, but she'll get through it. hopefully. maybe. © melloraie 2020
