on a bustling street of new york city, there's a small coffee shop called the midnight café. that's where i, nico diangelo, work the night shift. the night does not love me or speak to me, she is quiet. she merely harbors me and the souls of those with nothing left, our only comfort being a cup of coffee on a rainy night. but him? the sun adores him. she leaves kisses on his nose and cheeks and covers him in freckles. she adorns him with a crown of gold. she loves him because his smile could turn nectar into honey and ice into water. she follows him wherever he goes, bringing light with her. the sun looks good on him. Nico di Angelo is a forensic pathologist, well, training to be one. He spends his days examining dead bodies and learning how they died. Pretty cool, right? Will Solace is training to be a nurse. His goal is to prevent as many bodies from needing to be examined as possible. He wanted to save people. When these two move in together, many adventures follow, because honestly, what else can you expect when two complete opposites try to coexist? As time goes on they learn that maybe they aren't so different after all. Characters belong to Rick Riordan, but the plot and all that belong to me. Also, none of the art belongs to me, I just find it on the interweb. I did make the cover, but again, images were not mine. I can't draw to save my life. (65,742 words)

nico's a demon, will's an angel, and they fall in love during a war. what could possibly go wrong? intentional lowercase for the description; the actual fic has proper capitalization. the writing is pretty bad and the plot is all over the place but it's cutesy sometimes so knock yourselves out. if swearing bothers you, skip the author's notes because i swear sometimes. the actual fic has no strong language.

When Will is told he has to go to high school, he doesn't have much of an opinion. Go there, protect some students, hang out with people he barely knew, be over with it. Fine, whatever. Though he finds himself having to be near a Nico Di Angelo an awful lot... Nico'd rather not be near anyone, period. People were annoying, after all, and he didn't trust them much. He was only here because he didn't feel like saying no. He's forced to be near a certain Will Solace, though, and said Will Solace may just change his mind on people.
