He disguises himself in the elf city to find out that he has been revered as a saint, and has begun a new age of the elves. In order to find his place in this new yet familiar world he starts a guild in an age when they've become obsolete. He finds out the elven princess is his fiancé and has been waiting for his return. He adopts an oracle girl known as the cursed child. He even accidently starts a successful maid café. But when a prophecy threatens his new way of life, he'll start a war with a dark shadow that's taken hold of his new home. Follow Cal's journey as he routinely breaks down ordinary doors, makes an inordinate amount of tea, falls in love with a princess, tumbles out of trees, and faces enemies both inside and outside the Pearly City. With all this and more awaiting our unscrupulous adventurer, let me be the first to welcome you to the City of Perils. Jasper Toledo is a college student who died and was reincarnated into his favorite video game. Calloway Calphius is an elf hero turned deity after he dissappeared from the City of Perils for 250 years. After 250 years an upstart guildmaster named Cal is instrumental in turning the City of Perils into the new Kingdom of Calphian. All three of these are the same man. Shayley O'heira Van Dravenkin is the warrior princess of the City of Perils. She developed the guild fortress known as the City of Perils into the Utopian City-state, known simply as the Pearly City, while waiting 250 for the return of her Fiance Calloway Calphius. With the aid of the Guildmaster Cal, she was able to reunite with the man she loved and grow the Pearly City into the Kingdom of Calphian. Ophelia is the cursed child of the Pearly City. She was orphaned and lost all hope for the future since she can only foresee bad things. A curious elf named Cal saved her from the streets and from herself. After her adoption she discovers that she is not cursed, she is an Oracle and becomes the mascot of the her Papa's new establishment an Adventurer's guild... and its attached maid cafe. Seamus is an Assassin turned Cabin boy and becomes apprenticed to Guildmaster Cal. But can the stiff teenager withstand the onslaught of teasing from his new master long enough to become a decent... whatever his master is training him to be?
