"I'm gonna miss you." I choke. "I'll miss you too. But I'll be waiting for you when you get back." He said. I couldn't control it anymore. The tears spilled down my face like a waterfall and I let out a chocked sob. Derek hugged me tightly as I cried. He too began to cry. We both looked like fools standing,hugging and crying in the middle of a driveway. He kissed me with so much force and our salty, bitter tears dripped into my mouth. Our last kiss. I admires every moment of it. Honk! The taxi pulled up at the end of my driveway. I sobbed harder. "I love you." Derek said. "I love you too." I snuffle. Derek gave me one last hug before letting me go. "I love you." He said as I headed towards the taxi. "I love you too." I said. He watched me as I got into the taxi and waved to me. He fell to his knees and cried. I could faintly hear him yelling "Come back!" as the taxi pulled out of the driveway.

Jack secretly has feelings for Auggie, he has since the seventh grade, but knowing that Auggie is not interested in boys and might freak out, he can't tell anyone. He doesn't want his friendships to be ruined, but at the same time, he is having trouble keeping this secret for so long, since he's with Auggie and the girls just about 24/7. He wants to be more than friends with Auggie, but their friendship is already fragile due to low self esteem on both sides, so he can't make it happen. He really likes Auggie, and is tired of waiting, so starts sending signals, to see if he has a chance getting with his love, his wonder. *The characters are 14 and 15 here. I am not shipping or sexualizing 9-10 year olds, this fanfic is of them when they're older. *Some strong language and themes are used.
