However, Beca Mitchell is more hard work than Chloe thought, so Chloe makes it her mission to change Beca's stubborn attitude. Beca is difficult but something happens to the artist, which causes her life to take a dramatic turn.

Chloe Beale is a successful doctor who has just been promoted to the Chief of Medicine. The two women were once in love and planned on spending the rest of their lives together but after some false news about Beca, Chloe ended their relationship, breaking Beca's heart. The women are still sociable to each other but try to avoid one another if they can until one day, Beca gets in a serious accident and Chloe gets put in charge of taking care of Beca.
