Timid, temperamental, and treacherously lustful- all words that could be used to describe Shay Lawson, depending on who you'd ask.
The truth?
Perhaps none of those words were accurate, or perhaps she was a perfect mix of all of them, traits swirling around inside her head to create a monstrosity rather than a girl.
Shay Lawson always felt that the worst part of being perceived was the constant whispers being uttered behind her back, the rumours fanned and the uncouth assumptions persisting. However, since working at PTMC, she has discovered that in actuality, the worst part of being perceived by everyone so vividly is just how much it disables one from perceiving oneself.
It wasn't until Dr Jack Abbot practically dragged her, kicking and screaming, into his world that she started to wonder if every nasty rumour and terrible accusation was perhaps...false? Maybe she wasn't a monstrosity, maybe she was just a girl.
And maybe what all young girls need is a firm, calloused hand to guide them in the right direction.
