This series is amazing, underrated, and has my heart. A new world rises, born from the combined books of beginning, wielded by the magician who had sought after them for millennia. Finally, the Dire Magnus has infinite power in the palm of his hand, the power to to build himself a throne and make the universe kneel at his feet. For those who stand against him and fear his rule, it's a desperate rush to flee from his control, and to search for the hope that seems to be lost forever. Kate Wibberly stands by the Dire Magnus's side. She managed to free her siblings from his claws, but she herself remains in the belly of the beast, trying to gather information and find a way to fix this for everyone while avoiding the suspicions of her enemies. She's balancing on a tightrope with no safety net beneath her. And yet, even while walking this line, allies and magic are still within reach. As the Dire Magnus expands his rule, Kate builds her own coalition, determined to make things right and protect her family, at any cost. This new world is not like the old. The clear divides of good and evil have been blurred, and no longer can anyone win anything by sticking to their morals. It's been a few months since the books of beginning were destroyed and the Wibberly siblings were reunited with their parents. A few months since they each lost people dear to them. In the aftermath, their parents have tried to adjust them to a normal life, and a normal family dynamic. But the children know that it just doesn't feel right. They can't heal or live like this. Something inside Kate, Michael, and Emma craves the world of magic and their friends in that world. When their parents go out to the store one day and by nightfall have not returned, the Wibberlys become fearful. And a startling attack causes them to have to flee their home in the dead of night and return to the magical world. It turns out the ghosts of the past have come back to haunt them. And while these new loopholes in the boundaries between life of death allow the siblings to reunite with and seek help from some beloved friends, it also means their deadliest enemy is roaming the world once more, hungry for revenge. And so the three are launched into another quest to save their family and discover what could possibly be causing the very foundations of the world to shift. Michael investigates with a fervor, seeking guidance from many friends and allies among the living and the dead. Emma trains to fight to protect her family, helped by the ghost of her dear friend and mentor. And Kate begins to unlock the magic inside of her, magic that could hold the key to saving her family, defeating evil once and for all, and maybe even changing destiny to bring the boy she loves back to her. Together, Kate, Michael, Emma, and their allies are strong. But will that be enough in the face of the Dire Magnus and his overwhelming evil? And do those helping them really have their best intentions at heart?

Years after the events of Dance of Magic, the Wibberly siblings and their friends are all grown up and have made lives for themselves in the magical world. Emma hunts down magical threats as a warrior, Michael works to unify the magical races, and Kate helps both of them while doing charity work and raising her own three children with her husband, Rafe. It's a time of thriving lives and happiness. But the past has returned to threaten their future. An unexpected enemy wants them destroyed and will do anything to make that happen. The Wibberlys find their old alliances crumbling. And Lili, the eldest of Kate and Rafe's children, is discovering her own power and darkness in the midst of all this chaos. They must race against time and in some cases, through it, to find the only thing that could save them from the evil threatening to swallow them whole. To save everything they hold dear, all generations of Wibberlys, and a few new friends, must come together and fight to ensure history doesn't repeat itself. But will they triumph, or will their worst enemy be the one within?

It will include a lot of one shots about Kate and Rafe because if you've read Books of the beginning you might've suffered from the death of Rafe. So I thought of making a book based on oneshots about them. I'm inspired by @Lucy_Hood and @starsandsplells

By killing the Dire Magnus, Kate has also destroyed all three Books of the Beginning, allowing Rafe to be free of the ancient being's influence. Now reunited with the rest of the Wibberly family, life has become something that people could consider normal, if you count learning magic from a powerful sorcerer while attempting to maintain friendships in another realm normal. As the Wibberly siblings start attempting to adjust to living after losing so many people that they cared about, a strange group and a letter are found that threaten to take away the new peace they have found...
