" I say slowly. He looks up curiously. " What is it Katniss? " he asks looking into my eyes. I feel immediately guilty for what I am about to say, especially since he saved my life by giving me bread. "So I have been thinking this over in my head and it seems that this is the only choice I have in order to make it home to Prim." I start. "Katniss?..." He says. He doesn't like what I am saying and I haven't even gotten to the worst part yet. "I know you want to make it back home to your family and I know that you are a part of my District, but I need to make it home to Prim!" I say, tears threatening to fall, I feel awful for what I am doing. Peeta looked extremely worried by this point. "What's wrong? What happened- " I cut him off " I'm... I'm... joining...the careers."

What if the Quarter Quell didn't happen? Snow has decided to postpone the Games, but with some conditions. With their families lives on the line, will Katniss and Peeta accept their fate and give Snow what he wants?

5 years after the rebellion, Katniss and Peeta are together and living in district 12. They are both happy although Peeta still has flashbacks and Katniss still blames herself for Prims death. Their relationship will have ups and downs but this is mainly for Everlark shippers, so if your team Gale this book probably isn't for you! It has been a century since the rebellion, and the Capitol still wants revenge... As it is the Fourth Quarter Quell, there will be four games held this year. One will be held with twenty-four children reaped from Districts One to Four. The second will have twenty-four children reaped from Districts Five to Eight. The third will have twenty-four children reaped only from Districts Nine to Twelve. There will be six tributes reaped from each of the twelve Districts, and eight people will win each of the three Games giving us twenty-four finalists to take part in the Ultimate Games where only one will prevail victorious. Overall, seventy one children will die in this years Hunger Games and one will survive. May the odds be EVER in your favour....
