In my first installment of this series, I introduce you to Alanna Jones. Alanna, also known as Lana is a tough girl born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Her father is a junkie coming in and out asking for money, and her mother is a RN up in the hamptons trying to provide for Lana and her sisters Kevin lives next door to Lana, the two bump heads alot, like everyday. They could never get along until she found herself needing him.

After Alana's tragic death, Kay couldnt find himself, he became lost. His children tried their best to be by his side and he loved them for that effort. In the Second Installment of this series, we watch as Alana's children grow and become the spitting image of her and Kay. We follow Kay as he tries to make his life normal after losing the love of his life. We revisit past conversations, past friends, and perhaps a few dead ones. This is Book 2: Unapologetic.

#1 𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙛𝙖𝙣 𝙛𝙞𝙘 - .. "Heard you gang" I replied and Kay had same the reaction as Camrin when I called his lil annoying ass gang. "Ain't nobody ya fucking gang Leilani" he smacked his lips and let go of my hand. "Why you letting go?" I put our hands back together cause his shits is mad soft, "plus how you not gang? Cause you ain't bae either" I shrugged but I was lowkey crying inside he posed to be my bae. Wait- this nigga was already my bae but he just need to make it official. "On some real shit I would make ya ass wifey but ya ass is mad dayroom" he admitted but now he got me fucked up. My head tilted to the side and mouth agape. "Nigga how the fuck am I dayroom?" The blanket slightly fell off my shoulders from me moving into a nice comfortable sitting position so I could hear the shit that bouta come outta his mouth. "You don't see how you be acting once a sip of liquor enter your system? Me personally if I had a girl Ion want her acting like that on the internet. Not gon lie" he shrugged and I kept my blank stare and squinted eyes.

"You ain't even that cute." Jojo playfully rolled her eyes allowing Dice to pull her arm to wherever he seemed to be leading her. "Where are you taking me!" She grew annoyed with the anticipation. "On a trip, just chill." -- For as long as she can remember, Jojo Rosewood has lived a picture-perfect life in a suburban area located in Chicago-designer clothes, private schools, and a glamorous lifestyle all thanks to her high-powered mother. Evidently her perfect world seems to be a lie when it comes crashing down as her mother's secrets come to the light, forcing her to face reality. Now having all of her family's assets cleared she's every bit of confused on what to do. With nowhere else to turn, Jojo is forced to leave behind everything she knows and move across a plethora of states to live with her father, a man she barely knows due to distance, and his new family. Learning to balance the shift in culture and the chaos of her first year in college all in one, Jojo struggles to adjust to her circumstances and blend into a world where her privilege no longer holds any weight. Things grow even more complicated when she meets Dice, her half-brother's best friend-a well mannered , street-smart young adult who seems to embody everything Jojos maternal side of the family warned her about. Dice is equally frustrating and intriguing, with a no-nonsense attitude that calls Jojo out on her unrealistic expectations. As their chemistry builds, Jojo finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew about family, loyalty, and love while Dice struggles letting Jojo take a trip to his world.
