{Book 2 of He Used to be Mine} {Based off of a comic that I read, so credit goes there for the idea. The comic is in this book.} 200 years later. Everyone is gone. Except for the Ultimate Lifeform, Shadow the Hedgehog, with his inability to age to perish. Living his life with loneliness, Shadow feels as if though he had lost everyone he knew, because he had. So, he puts himself in a state of slumber. Until one fateful day when a certain blue blur is transported to this future and wakes him. As soon as Shadow sees him, he knows he has to protect him. Shadow doesn't want to let him go. Not again.

Project: Hedgehog Both Shadow and Sonic were "born" on the Space Colony ARK as projects/experiments. They were meant to be used for an unknown reason and were not to show emotion, as it would mess with the tests. But soon, these specimens find their unknown feelings... but for each other. But before they can figure this puzzle of feelings out, they must save humanity... and that may lead to one of their fates...

Sonic is world renowned hero known for his optimisim and bravery. But don't let that fool you into thinking he was always happy. His past is unknown. No one really knows his origins. His family. His home. He is a mystery cloaked in an idol facade. The day he snapped was the day his mask fell. Soon everyone wants to hear his story. Will that send him over the edge? He hated his body, and everything to do with himself. No one knew the real him. That is until a certain ebony hedgehog walks in on one of his daily nightmares, and gets slightly worried. Shadow The Hedgehog, the edgy one, the one who was covered in darkness and darkness alone, holds a painful past in his hands. Despite not knowing it the two are both the same, slowly withering away. (Based off of an imaginated scene I had while listening to "He Used To Be Mine" [Male Cover of "She Used To Be Mine" from the musical, "Waitress"]) Every since the explosion of the Space Colony ARK and the death of his friends, Sonic hasn't been the same. He sometimes wished Shadow had never saved him. Sonic wasn't his usual, cocky, optimistic, energetic and hyper self. He was now quiet, sad and remorseful, usually never leaving his house. He had an endless hatred for Eggman now, the culprit for it all. He meets Shadow again after some years, and they both become friends, something unexpected for the two of them. The get closer until they find out the obvious... The Chapters take place in Sonic Boom. The Characters of Sonic the Hedgehog do not belong to me, they belong to Sega.
