When Nadia moves into the house on Sycamore Street, she expects late-night parties, shared kitchens, and maybe a little chaos. She doesn't expect Noah Henderson-cocky, loud, and always lingering a little too close. And she definitely doesn't expect Malik James-steady, sharp-eyed, and watching her like he knows something she doesn't. Tension brews in every hallway, every glance held a second too long. Malik warns her about Noah's charm, but his own gaze lingers too much for comfort. Meanwhile, Noah-confident, magnetic Noah-doesn't seem to know if he wants to pull her closer or push her away. But the real problem? Nadia isn't the one caught between them. She just hasn't realized it yet.

UPDATES EVERY SATURDAY. #116 in feminism DISCLAIMER: This is a work of fiction. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. Independence. Knowledge. Love. It was a progressive imperial world of June 1892 when the latter is what ladies aim. But, this goal does not apply to a nineteen-year-old Japanese woman, Ayako Yamaguchi. Believing that she will make her father proud, she leaves her home country intending to study in Great Britain. There, she is under the care of the Steinfeld family. On the dangerous hand, secrets do not stay forever. Being independent is Ayako's true reason to leave with the help of Yui Tanaka, a former diplomat, and personal mentor. A golden rule of royal marriage that the wife's free-will remove in this full-fledged ceremony pushes her to run and hide from the hideous Imperial Prince Takahito Yokohama. Although Ayako is seeking this major goal, her own definition changes when she becomes a tutor of a half-Japanese boy, Hiroto Kujo. With her knowledge, she spares him ideas of culture and language for his upcoming political career. Yet with mindful conceptions and lingering past from this man, she doesn't expect that there was a story before everything. EXPECTED NUMBER OF WORDS: 70,000-90,000

[Completed] The Royal Guard of the Empire has faithfully served Byzantia for nearly three centuries now. Hand picked from foreign lands, these guardsmen hold no political ties, carry no agendas, and bare no creeds except to those who sit upon the Onyx Throne. They are vanguards, protectors, loyalists. They are Vangen. Change has come to the Empire. An Empress sits upon the throne now, destroying any who would rebel against her with both fire and iron. To the east, her loyal Vangen work to quash the newest rebellion, until a letter arrives one day, marked with the Empresses seal. The contents within bare only dread and disturbance for the Guardsmen. The Black Ministry, the former Emperor's cabal of Sorcerers, have turned against the Empress. The Vangen's return is bittersweet. The city they once called home is now a battlefield, every street a choke-point. Every home a possible nesting ground for rebels. The Royal Guard will have to fight tooth and nail to put down the Ministry and protect the Empress, but the deeper they go, the harder the lines begin to blur. In a world where good and evil does not exist, where then does a man's loyalty lie? (Comments and Feedback are always appreciated)

This story in one sentence? An unconventional love triangle with a deadly ending. Literally. When Ari finds herself challenged to a car race on a mostly deserted boulevard on a late afternoon by a boy named Nathan, she doesn't think it would lead to anything. She couldn't have known she was paving the path to her own destruction. However, Nathan is the boy who shows her she deserves much better than her long term relationship with Gage, a boy dealing with anger issues after a traumatic event. Once he shows up, Ariana, an anxiety-ridden young adult yearning to be loved, falls for him without asking too many questions. However, her best friend Kaylah thinks his story doesn't quite add up. As Kay delves deeper, she learns that Nathan's appearance in their lives is anything but a coincidence, and realizes that Nathan's personality is nothing more than a carefully crafted facade. Determined to prevent Ari from becoming a puppet in some grand scheme, she strikes an uncanny friendship with the very guy that set this whole charade in motion and isn't going to stop until she uncovers the whole truth. But she doesn't have enough evidence yet, and she's running out of time. *My first ever story idea put to use. Constructive criticism welcomed.* This story was inspired by @AnimumTenebris. Tommy is 11 years-old, overweight, intelligent, and the new kid in small-town Rosshaven, Ontario in the mid-nineties. Every night in Tommy's dreams, he becomes Clara--an 11 year-old girl living in 1859, learning her responsibilities as the eldest daughter in a prominent Rosshaven family. As Tommy navigates the complexities of his parents' divorce, fitting in at a new school, and making his mark in drama class, he begins to learn how to affect his dreams. Is he really controlling Clara in the past or is this all a psychosis to avoid his real problems? One night, while Tommy dreams in Clara's skin, the sky turns purple and her father returns home crazed and terrified with his hands horribly burned. That night, as Tommy watches helplessly, Clara's father murders her and her family. Is the killing of Clara's family related to the murders happening in modern-day Rosshaven? Can Tommy save both Clara in the past and himself in the present? A new horror novel that is both gothic and modern, about growing up, losing control, and becoming who you want to be--not who you're told you are.
