When the xy group splits up, Serena is broken. She looses in the final round and fails to become Kalos Queen. Serena goes down some dark paths and develops dangerous habits, and her mom worries for her. Grace decides to send Serena to a Pokemon University in hopes Serena can turn her life around. Ash on the other hand beat the Pokemon League and is bored with his life. He begs his mom to let him go the the new Pokemon University with his old rival and now good friend Gary. Ash Ketchum is relaxing in his home town, spending time mainly with his friend and past rival Gary Oak. The two of them have fun together, but Ash begins to miss the adventures he had gone on a few years ago. Luckily for him, a piece of his past is coming back into his life.
