{FIRST BOOK IN 'THE GIRL IN THE HOODIE' SERIES} {2014-2018} A girl moved to California two years ago. No one knows what she looks like. All they know is that she wears a hoodie. *~*~*~* "HOLY SHIT, NOAH! WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU LET THE TROLLEY GO?! COME BACK! OH MY FUCKING LIFE, FIZZY DRINKS UP AHEAD--" BANG FIZZ POP "...am I dead?" I'm suddenly grabbed by the back of my hoodie and pulled up from the ground and out of the mess of the opened bottles of fizzy which had exploded when the trolley and I crashed into them. My hands instantly go to my hood and I sigh in relief to find that it hadn't fallen off through all of that. I turn my head and look the the employee who's holding me, his face completely red and the vein in his neck throbbing. "Wassup, dude?" I smile sheepishly. *~* {HIGHEST RANKINGS: #1 in Funny #1 in Sad And #1 in Cancer apparently }

❝Sometimes, love is crazy.❞ • • • I was a NORMAL guy, Doing NORMAL things, Like crushing on a NORMAL girl, Having NORMAL friends, Living a NORMAL life. Until SHE happened. Until she decided to Kidnap me. Yes, She KIDNAPPED me. • • • Anders Larzelere's PoV: "W-What the fück do you mean?" "Tsk, Tsk, Mate. No cursing." She says, with a mock reprimanding expression. Mate? Maybe she is from Australia? She doesn't have an accent though. Her full pink lips stretch in a secretive smirk as she slowly advances in on me, twirling a piece of red cloth in her hand, that suspiciously looks like a silk tie. 'Ooh, Kinky,' My mind comments and I want to smack myself for such thoughts in such a situation. "W-Why do you have that?" I point out, looking at her with suspicious eyes. Instead of replying, she continues to advance on me, and like the idiot I am, I back up with every step she takes. Only to get cornered. 'Super, Anders. Just Super.' I chide myself, feeling stupid. She takes the last step between us, and places her hands on either sides of my face on the wall, leaning close to my ear. "To give you your happily-ever-after," She whispers in a throaty voice, and I shiver when her hot breath tickles the sensitive flesh in my neck. "W-what?" I stutter, feeling dazed and disoriented. "Oh, I'm kidnapping you," With that, she presses a small white square of something - that I didn't notice she had - on my face. In a split second, a sharp and chemical smell invades my nostrils and before I know, I'm slipping into a spiraling abyss of darkness. • • • Note: Anders is a GUY's name. Yes, the guy gets kidnapped. :)

A secret program in the United States seeks to replace human militaries with artificial intelligence-driven machines, but the machines aren't so willing to play along. *** Picture a world where humans no longer fight wars. No more families missing loved ones. No more veterans with lifelong mental and physical scars. No more conscription. For the super-secret End of War Project inside the United States government, such a reality is already here. The project models out how artificial intelligence can overcome dangerous and morally sensitive war scenarios with algorithms and automation. The centerpieces are "autonomous combat machines," or ACMs, that look like humans but function like supercomputers. After a string of brilliant successes in the field of combat, the End of War Project is preparing to reveal itself to the public, but something unusual stands in the way. Against their programming, the ACMs start exhibiting all-too-human signs of apprehension, guilt and compassion as they're pushed to perform ever more extreme tasks. The human leaders of the End of War Project race to find who "hacked" the ACMs, but what they find is even more startling--and revealing--than they could ever imagine. ***2019 Watty Award Winner - Science Fiction***
