Winter is a drug addict living in the rough part of town with an alcoholic, but loving, mother. The two of them watch out for each other, making sure the other isn't hurt. When a string of murders start in the area and there seems to be no suspect, Winter and her mother go on edge. One night, Winter is saved by a man by the name of Toby, who helps run a liquor store by her house with his cousins. When the two start getting to know each other, she is shocked to hear that he is the killer. She accepts him anyway. Winter and Toby find themselves getting caught up together and the worst possible thing happens to Winter; She falls in love.

All characters belong on Suzanne Collins. (Sorry for any inaccuracies, I lent my book to a friend, so I'm basing this off of memory.)

Every year, the girls assemble in the music room. The boys don't have a clue about what happens in there. But, it is the history of the school- The Boyfriend Games. Three girls from each level, from sophomores to seniors would get picked to participate. They would be assigned a boy in their school, and their goal was to make him fall in love with them. What made it hard was the distractions and the fact that the boy chosen would be the opposite of the girl. Emerald has been lucky for the last two years, but when her name is pulled out, she knows she's in deep shit. The boy assigned to her? Blake Richards. He is her worst nightmare, and the biggest player in their school. People say that he goes through girls like a man that was in a desert for a week goes through water.

What follows is him falling for her, and taking her to be his beautiful lover. She, being her sassy self, has quite a few things to say about this. Will she escape him and his friends and go back home, or will she become the killer's girl?

When the girls grow up, disaster after disaster, blow after blow, they still survive. But, when the two of them begin falling in love with people they least likely expected, all hell is unleashed. Jeff is furious. Now, all they have to do is keep their relationships stable and under control, and their But, with parents like theirs, it may not be very easy.

" I say slowly. He looks up curiously. " What is it Katniss? " he asks looking into my eyes. I feel immediately guilty for what I am about to say, especially since he saved my life by giving me bread. "So I have been thinking this over in my head and it seems that this is the only choice I have in order to make it home to Prim." I start. "Katniss?..." He says. He doesn't like what I am saying and I haven't even gotten to the worst part yet. "I know you want to make it back home to your family and I know that you are a part of my District, but I need to make it home to Prim!" I say, tears threatening to fall, I feel awful for what I am doing. Peeta looked extremely worried by this point. "What's wrong? What happened- " I cut him off " I'm... I'm... joining...the careers."

What if Katniss and Cato won the 74th Hunger Games and together they had to fix their broken lives, helping each other every step of the way.
