Harry Potter finally understands why his potions professor, Severus Snape, seems to pretty much hate the ground he walks on, after Harry inadvertently gets into his Pensieve during an Occlumency lesson. Despite his attempts at apologizing, the older man doesn't seem to want to hear it. As time goes by, however, and their lessons are forced to resume again, Harry comes to terms with his attraction towards the older man, and Severus, although reluctant to do so, gives in to kissing the young man, and a relationship blooms between them. When times are shaken up because of various Death Eaters threatening to destroy life as they know it, both men are thrust into the center of it all, especially when Sirius Black, now Harry's guardian, catches wind of the relationship and puts an end to it by force. Will their love be strong enough to handle the war, their separation, and will it prove to be the power the Dark Lord knows not?

Severus Snape kept to himself during the holidays. He had little work to do so he could brew for pleasure most of the time and read the rest. So when the Order comes to him for a favor does he say yes? It is not as if it will change his calm routine, could it? This takes place after the War. Snape is obviously alive but Dumbledore and Sirius remain dead. Harry is 19.

Harry James Potter was born on July 31, 1980. On the night of his second Halloween, October 31, 1981, Harry and his parents, James and Lily, were attacked by the True Dark Lord. Harry's godfather, a man named Sirius Black, was sent to Azkaban the morning after; he claimed that he betrayed the Potters and told the True Dark Lord where the Potters were hiding. Albus Dumbledore leaves infant Harry on his aunt's doorstep in the wee hours of the morning on November 1st. Dumbledore had hoped that the boy would be taken care of by Petunia and Vernon Dursley, but that is not the case. The year is 1991 and Harry James Potter, a very different Harry James Potter than Dumbledore had hoped, is attending Hogwarts. Sirius Black is the father of all godfathers and he will do anything to prove it. He knows that his godson needs him and no one is going to stop him. Not even the leader of the Order of Fried Chickens himself. Sirius is done being pushed around and decides to step up and be the godfather James would have wanted him to be. James and Severus has had rough patches before. An arranged marriage is a coin toss and they weren't so lucky. They were in love in the beginning, or Severus most definitely was. That's why they had this agreement. But James seems to have fallen for his husbands best friend. Severus will do anything for Regulus but he is not willing to forfeit James. AU: Classifications are a thing. You are either a Caregiver, Little, Dominant, Submissive or Neutral. The wizards have a potion to take and the Muggles use a blood test to find out. Everyone is classified by their 14th birthday and then has the classification rechecked by their 19th birthday. Harry finds his out while at the Burrow.
