A girl and her beloved dog... Or should I say wolf- werewolf? Highest Ranking: #1 in Death; #36 in Werewolf: #4 in Wolf; #4 in War *COMPLETED* Katlyn's life changes when she adopts a large menacing wolf to be her pet. **** "How much for him?" I asked and was greeted by looks of disbelief from the staff. The dog growled softly and wagged his tail. His head swung back and forth as he looked at the three of us and he seemed to be assessing everything. "Woah looky there. Did Monster just wag his tail? We nicknamed him that." The staff member a woman asked and the dog growled and his tail dropped. I laughed softly and the dog lolled out its tongue and walked toward me. The handler grunted and tried to pull him back. "Damn I can't hold him." The guy gasped as Monster lurched forward and the catch-pole was ripped from the guy's grasp. I yelped as the huge mutt came running at me. "Watch out!" The woman staff yelled but my eyes had already closed as I cowered waiting for impact. No point in running. **** Read to find out what happens! *COMPLETED* "You think I'd murder you?" He laughed humorlessly. "I- what?" I stuttered, looking at him with a lost expression. If he didn't want to kill me, what was all of this then? "What's your name, speedy?" He asked after shaking his head. "Why would I-I tell you my name?" I tried to sound brave, but this whole scenario was just freaking me out. "I'll find out, eh?" He gave me a smirk. What? "For what? You can just kill me now. I don't want to live like this anymore." I breathed out. I really don't. His loud and obnoxious laugh pulled me out of my thoughts. What's so funny? "You're funny. But-" He took a step closer and I immediately stepped backwards. "-the stunt you pulled last week-" My back hit the wall and I gasped as he stood only a few inches away from me now. His finger lifted my chin and I gulped. "-was not." His smirk was replaced by a serious expression. His eyes were so dark and captivating, I couldn't look away. "And you know what they say, speedy?" He continued as his eyes flickered towards my mouth. I shook my head and his smirk was back. "Keep your friends close. But-" He clenched his jaw. "Keep your enemies closer."

"Ezekiel...." I whispered softly into his ear, my crimson lips tugging into a sly smirk as I felt his body shake grow stiff against mine. My finger trailed softly against his arm, goosebumps raising along the path I traveled. "Stop." He whispered, I noticed how utterly breathless he had become. Causing the smirk that tugged at my lips to expand into a sinister smile. My fingers left his arm, lifting my fingers in the air I delicately grasp his chin, as if I squeezed too hard he'd crumple to dust beneath my fingers. "Why do you want me to stop, Zeke?" I questioned, my eyes feigning fake innocence as I awaited his answer. His eyes searched mine, and I felt my own proud look faltering as I undoubtably started to melt looking into his pools of Amber. "Because..." he started, his lip being tugged into his mouth by his white teeth. "Because...?" I assisted, as I got as close to him as physically possible. His eyes hardened, glaring into my soulless ones. "It feels, Sinful."

"What's your name?" he asked. I hesitated. "Dawn." He repeated it under his breath once, then again, slower, as if he was tasting it. "Dawn." The sound of it hit something in me that shouldn't have existed. But then his gaze hardened again. "You were with her," he said quietly, anger laced in his face as he brought up Mandy. "How do you know her?" "I don't," he said tightly. "But I know what her pack did," His words confused me, "she's a killer. I've been tracking her for weeks." My blood ran cold. "You're lying." "I wish I was," he murmured, stepping closer again. "She's dangerous, Dawn." "She's my friend." He flinched like I'd struck him. "She's the reason people are after you." "That doesn't make sense-" "She's the one they were following. But they found you too, and they changed their target. I don't know why." His eyes flicked over my face, his tone shifting. "Unless... unless they know what you are." I took a sharp step back, panic clawing at my throat. "You don't know anything about me." "No," he said quietly. "But I want to." The way he said it made my pulse stutter. His voice was aching. And then, he grew softer, "When I found you, I thought you were just a human. I tried to tell myself you were. But my wolf..." He stopped, dragging in a rough breath. "He knows you. He recognized you before I even saw your face." "What are you even saying," I shook my head, heart racing. "You're insane." "Dawn-" "You don't know me," I said again. "You are my mate." #1 in love 12/5/2018 #1 in human 12/28/2018 #1 in comedy 1/17/2019 #1 in young adult 4/8/2019 #1 in cold 4/16/2019
