Under the false promise of freedom, the five political prisoners that were deemed enemies of Soviet Russia surrendered themselves to the unknown knowing little of what the researchers were hoping to achieve. The subjects were administered a gas that was still in its testing process. The gas was believed to be the the major advantage the Russian military was looking for to help aid them in World War II. The gas would keep their soldiers awake on the battlefield for prolonged periods of time. But upon the completion of the experiment, the subjects had become unrecognizable - the scientists had become so engrossed in their advancements that the prisoners’ humanity was forgotten, as too was the promise of freedom that was within their sights. All evidence of the test was burned to nothing. The videos. The files. The bodies. Even the lab itself. It was all wiped off of the face of the Earth.
