Dreams. They're only dreams. Strange, brutal dreams, straight off the pages of an ancient Greek mythology book. That's what Mandy Burkhardt tells herself, stocking shelves at the Occult Bookstore in Chicago. Her boss senses more. He feels something. An awakening. The prophecy. The others can, too, even if they can't quite put a finger on it. As the hidden power inside of her grows, an ancient spell comes to life, compelling her back to her rightful time and place: ancient Greece, a barbaric era of witches and gods, gorgons and oracles. Witnessed by new friend, Ryan Taylor, Mandy's disappearances can no longer be denied. Together, they try to discover what's happening to her and why but in the process become targets in a deadly and sinister plot. Caged, trussed, shackled and hunted, Mandy must come to terms with her past and fight for her future in a bloody battle to the finish with even more at stake than she knows. * * * Bringing legend back to life in this present-day fantasy thriller, the Medusa Deception gives readers a glimpse of ancient Greece and the gods - their thirst for power and revenge - their treachery and lies.

Book 1 of (The Awakening Series) {#1 Supernatural} {#1 Paranormal} {#1 Lycans} {#1 Vampire Romance} {#5 Royalty} The world went to shit long before I was born. Humans like me use to believe other species were nothing more than fictional characters, myths, or figures of one's imagination. But that was before vampires left the shadows and decided to reveal their species to the world. I've been told that teenage girls use to fantasize about being swooshed off their feet by those mysterious creatures. Insane. Matter of fact, insane would be an understatement, they were fucking lunatics. Vampires are not some fictional character that would love you like no other. No, vampires are not some sort of myth, and they most certainly are not, a figment of anyone's imagination. They are very real, and they despise the human race. In fact, they have enslaved my entire species and formed a new world. Each continent is owned by a ruthless, bloodsucking, barbaric, the vampire king. Every single one of them has played a part in the war of the awakening, showing no mercy, killing without question. Humans didn't even stand a chance. Our army and world leaders were killed or imprisoned in less than a couple of days. They slaughtered my race, but it didn't stop there. No, that was only the beginning of human suffering. Trust me when I say the death was truly a kindness, because anyone who survived the awakening, would beg for death. I was positive that my suffering would come to an end when I turned eighteen. I was hoping and praying to be marked as a feeder, nothing more, nothing less. Death was the only way out of this world. You see, all of the kings who ruled over the earth were cruel and calculating. They are all tyrants in their own right and they all answered to one vampire. Who was known as the most barbaric of them all and I was marked as his chosen. The King of all Vampire Kings. "You're the only thing that I have ever truly loved," he states, leaning in closer. I try to scoot away, but he corners me on the bed, placing his body over mine. "Get off me!" I exclaim, angrily. "I'm not who you think I am. That can't be possible." His face comes closer to mine as he pins my wrists to the bed. "It is possible. I loved you for three, short, human years, and then you left me. Now that I have you back, though, I will never let that happen again." ***** Salem's earliest memories were of her parents preforming odd rituals. She never really understood anything they said in them, but she would always sit in the middle of the big, circled, star and giggle. At age 10, both of her parents died. She was thrown into foster care. Without them around to explain to her exactly what the rituals meant, Salem was never told that she was a sacrifice to a demon king in exchange for all the money they could ever ask for. On her 20th birthday, at the stroke of midnight, the demon king finally comes for her. She is completely unaware of the situation, and she begins to try her best at resisting his advances, but he is very possessive, very persuasive, and very determined to claim what is rightfully his.

Eira learns that she is being protected from anyone or anything that may do her harm and it's not long before an evil entity with an army of dark souls, (including her mother's) knows exactly who and where she is. With the dark entity's army, the "Achlys" unrelenting in their search and closing in, Eira and Alexander escape into seclusion. Confused, unprepared and hunted by an army of darkness that would just as soon as kill her as capture her, Eira must quickly mature and develop into the Elemental power she was destined to become or she and those she loves may face the same fate that her mother did years ago.

Sequel to Misty _______________ The wind stopped. The birds rested on the branches. The squirrels peeked out from behind the leaves. The forest turned silent, covering these two souls from the glare of the afternoon sun. He stared at her radiant face. "We are different," she said softly, guilt glinting in her eyes. "Very different from each other. Our worlds aren't same." "Moon Goddess never makes a wrong decision. The Mist that your pack has taught you about, is an illusion, my mate." He told her with a small smile on his face. "A trick of mind it is. When you stop believing in its presence, it wouldn't be there. You will be able to see everything clearly." She cupped his cheek, rubbing her thumb against the bristles. "I can see everything clearly, my mate. I see the border of enmity between two packs." The smile that showed the delight of meeting his mate, now displayed the fear of uncertainty. But the Alpha blood running in his veins kept him warm. Confidence spread upon his heart as the inner beast told him the universal truth. Furthermore, the touch of his mate would always fill him with high spirit. "There can never be a barrier between lovers." He said the ultimate truth to the divine beauty, looking in her mischievous eyes. Her eyebrows raised and rested back slowly. Raising her chin, she watched him leaning his face downwards slightly in curiosity. Consequently, she brought her mouth closer to his ear, whispering the answer for him and the silent audience present in this forest, favouring him. "But we are not lovers, my mate. We are enemies."
