Venus Bartone is one of the 100, the people that were put into the skybox because they were too young to be executed. She was put there because her knowledge on building weapons out of next to nothing was too "dangerous". After being told that she was a danger to the remainder of mankind for almost nine years, she started to believe it. And she hated it. But when her abilities are needed on the ground, she realizes that what she knows and is able to do is not a sin, it's a gift. After making a certain young man a knife, she becomes closer with the boy that everyone seems to be afraid of. They had more in common than most people.
