A NaNoWriMo LitRPG starring a videogame QA tester named Sam Nagai. Sam thought testing videogames would be a dream job until he got saddled with a ton of barely playable mobile games. The lack of fun in these games and small pay makes Sam typically reluctant whenever he gets a call for a new gig, but customers for his art commissions have been scarce and Sam needs all the money he can get. He finally gets a call for a new gig with potential bonus pay, but not much else is known about the game itself. From what he does know, it sounds sort of interesting. Virtual Reality? Dark gothic fantasy? Uber hard difficulty? Sam's all in for that. After all it's not real so there's no real danger... Expect a dark and scary atmosphere, nightmarish creatures, madness and despair, beautiful and desolate locales, leveling up, and epic battles. This one is for you fans of the souls-like genre and other dark fantasy games like Legacy of Kain and Onimusha! Please comment, critique and vote at your leisure! After Katie arrives into the glade with her memory still intact, she must figure out how exactly to solve the maze that surrounds her with the help of Newt and Minho, the only two people that she knows. The three of them remember where they came from. They must make friendships, find a way out and survive the maze. Also I don't own any of the characters apart from Gabi and Katie and some other characters.

This story was set long before Teresa and Thomas came along. After Minho's girlfriend, Paula was stung, she came out of the changing a different person. Changes didn't only affected Paula but so did the glade. From the appearance of Beetle Blades, anonymous nightmares and the stories from Paula's flashbacks, Minho tries to figure out the mysteries behind all this animosity as well as finding a way out of the maze.

Guilt kept her mulling over the matter longer than she should have. Though, underneath the self-loathing and whirlwind of emotions, there were lessons. Lessons to learn from, mistakes to avoid. Guilt showed her all she had done wrong, and all she could do right. Guilt had been a better teacher than any of her old educators had ever been. One of his hands slides underneath my dress and between my thighs, trying to separate them. I press them together harder, and see his facial expression-It was dark, he was clearly getting aggravated at my defiance. His fingernails start digging into my flesh, as I let out a weak sob. My voice seemed to have left me as the world around me became nothing. Was I going to accept this? Eyesight blurry, I become dizzy- intense nausea seeping in. I hope I throw up. I hope it disgusts him enough to leave me the hell alone. What if I get away and he follows me to my mom? What if he hurts her? As soon as the panic comes, it leaves. Had someone finally heard my screams and pleas for help? The old man is knocked off of my body in a blur, and I take this chance to crawl away from his hunched form; My bones aching from the hard, dirty floor. I reach the brick wall, and let myself fall limp on a patch of ivy. I suddenly feel tired, my energy was draining. I feel a heating sensation warming up my chest- spreading like a wildfire; My veins turn a glowing citrus, orange color- but it quickly goes away. Did I see that correctly? Although, the weak feeling doesn't go away. I shut my eyes momentarily, only to reopen them to fill my curiosity. I don't see much because of the black blobs coating my vision. The veins on my arms have went back to their normal blue, as if I hadn't seen them turn any odd color at all. Maybe I was hallucinating. I was only able to witness one thing, and I had a sinking feeling that I probably shouldn't have watched. I was able to spot out a masculine figure grab the old man by his neck, and what I saw next shocked me to my deepest core. His eyes turn an intense silky red as his fangs come out quickly and he gives an evil, intimidating smile. "I'm gonna enjoy this." He states in his low guttural voice as he reaches forward and rips the old man's liver out.
