Your parents sent you off to Gravity Falls to visit your Aunt, but turns out your Aunt never came to pick you up. You end up staying with some kids that you met on your bus ride to Gravity Falls. Those kids just happen to be Dipper and Mable Pines. You and Dipper have a wierd thing going while Mable is trying to get you guys together.

My life has been a disaster since my father died. My mother decided to take me to a town in the middle of the woods where she says I can start all over.
