To prove a point that James is only flirting with Lily because he's a playboy heartbreaker, Severus tricks James into drinking veritaserum. Severus gets the truth out of him but the truth is far more that he bargain for.

We all know Harry Potter's parents, Lily and James Potter. We know that James had tried for years in school to woo Lily. But, what if James had been trying to woo someone else? A certain Slytherin, perhaps?

This is the sequel to my other story "The Unexpected Inheritances". If you haven't read that story yet I highly recommend you do so otherwise this story won't really make a whole lot of sense.

At the age of 16, the given witch or wizard will go through a creature inheritance (if that person has creature blood in their family line). Severus Snape goes through an early (and very painful) creature inheritance, and has trouble finding his mate, or rather, coming to terms with who his mate is. James Potter is having the same trouble with his inheritance.

James Potter and Severus snape had just started to get along when an accident involving potions collides with them. For 6 months James follows snape around like a puppy, and Snape doesn't mind. He wasn't who he used to be, and he doesn't think he ever will. Severus has his own issues but when you have an unreasonable urge to protect and comfort someone who needs it, you dont question it you do it. They have different Fathers but have the same Bearer. How will Severus handle the sudden appearance of two adorable toddlers calling him Mommy. A story that will rewrite the stars. This takes place after the lake incident in 1976 in their 5th year.
