In which Crowley, a goblin king, attempts to steal the child Adam Young from the hands of his guardian. Unfortunately, his guardian at his particular moment happens to be his fairy godfather, Aziraphale. Aziraphale must now solve the Labyrinth of the goblin king in order to take back his godson, and he must do that while avoiding the temptations of the wily and handsome goblin king himself as he does.

Aziraphale was wandering between them unnoticed even though his blonde hair should have stood out almost as much as the woman with bright yellow eyes and long auburn hair, who he just noticed from the corner of his eye, being brutally shoved onto a cart by a trader who the angel knew very well to be particularly cruel. Oh dear.

When the Dark Council serves up a fun challenge to the spawns of Hell, Crowley finds himself caught up in something much more than he can handle. Dagon and a group of demons approach him offering a better chance at rewards versus fighting for it alone. If they succeed, they will gain the favor of the Devil himself. And just to make matters worse, Crowley learns the challenge may include a certain former Guardian of the Eastern Gate. But, can he protect the angel and still stay out of Hell's bad book? Crowley and Aziraphale have known each other for a little while, just a few millennia. But, something is coming, something that has Aziraphale very, very worried. Crowley can't just up and leave no matter if the angel begs and pleads, probably. This is the demon and the angel's first big falling out that will change their lives forever. --- "And, why exactly would I do that?" "Because I," the angel paused. He seemed unsure himself, but it didn't seem to stop his resolve. "Please, it really is frightfully important that you leave. I really do wish I could say what is going on, but if word got out that I'd warned you, well, let's just say it would mean a lot of trouble, possibly for us both." "This wouldn't have anything to do with the pharaoh's second son, would it?" ---

"Since the Apocalypse had been avoided, the bond between the angel and the demon had grown closer. For the first time in 6000 years Aziraphale...felt something for Crowley. He didn't know what the strange feeling was when the ginger-haired demon was around, but - he was an angel, for Gods Sake. His kind used to be caring and loving, whatever or whenever." Aziraphale begins to question the Great Plan and its purpose on love. According to this, a demon and an angel aren't made for each other. When Crowley finally shows up at his bookshop and tries to confess his feelings for the angel, he breaks up. Leaving an angry demon and a very sad angel. Not knowing what they gonna do. Little do both of them know that these weren't exactly the commands from God herself...
