Spock's eight and it is his time to be betrothed, but his mind refuses to be bonded as he already has a T'hy'la. Light years away, Jim Kirk suffers from chronic headaches. Earth, mid 22nd century. Anything not human is not only shunned, but locked up and either executed in the most painful ways possible, tortured to death or simply left to rot in a cell. All extraterrestrial life know the risks of getting too close to earth, and considering humans are currently content staying on earth and no longer venture into space, earth is simply avoided at all costs. A young Vulcan named Spock searches space for his older brother, Sybok, who has been missing for almost 18 months. After his small ship is damaged he crashes - straight into earth. By some twist of fate he hits the middle of a farm in Iowa owned by young James T. Kirk. Curiosity for Spock overpowers Jim's fear of the Council and as the pair grow closer he begins to recall what his life was like before the tragedy that struck his life so many years before, leaving him completely alone. Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't have to be alone anymore.

After a (very) drunken night of sex, an accidental bond is formed between Spock and Leonard. Jim becomes a confidant, but is sometimes too annoying to bear. How long will it take before Leonard finally gets over his stigma about the idea of being with a man, and before Spock accepts his emotions? How long before they both accept their fate? Later chapters feature: An Earth shore leave with Joanna, Jocelyn, and Jocelyn's weird boyfriend! Sometimes OOC, but what can you expect? I'm not perfect. I can't walk in the shoes of these characters and know what they'd be thinking! This story is now 35k words and running.

Further complications arise when a freak accident leaves several hundred stranded and captured on Earth. With this many lives hanging in the balance the Federation are forced to face the only option left. They must take back Earth. However, they can't do it alone.
