On the other hand, Mikasa Ackerman is the descendant of the Ackerman Clan from the Japanese branch. She prefers to be alone most of the time to overcome the loneliness of losing her mother. Like Levi, she was also praised by her fellow clan members, though this was not enough to satisfy her lonely heart. The Ackerman clan has two counterparts from England and from Japan. Despite the similarities of both clans, they are quite different and not blood related too each other whatsoever.
