His soft hum vibrates through the space between us, the quiet chuckle he lets out against my earlobe sending a shiver down my spine. His voice is low, dangerous, as he leans in closer, his breath warm against my skin. "You can keep lying to yourself," Morgan whispers, his words dripping with challenge. "Pretend that once we leave this school-once we graduate-you'll forget me. Forget the way I make you feel, Alex." His lips ghost along my jawline. "But we both know the truth, don't we? You don't want to forget me." I yank hard on the collar of his shirt, pulling him closer, our lips brushing in a fleeting, electric touch that leaves me breathless. My voice trembles with equal parts anger and desire. "I hate you. So. Fucking. Much." The words hiss out, but my grip on his shirt only tightens. Morgan smirks, his fingers trailing along the hem of my shorts, igniting fire and fury all at once. His dark eyes bore into mine, daring me to deny what's between us. "I know, baby," he murmurs, his grin widening into something wicked. "The feeling's mutual ................ The seemingly mundane confines of detention become the backdrop for an unexpected and tumultuous journey for two high school students, Alexandra and Morgan.
